What am I looking at?
The Rest is Entertainment 100% Unofficial Database is a fan-produced website which exists to bring together in one place an index of all the many topics, recommendations, insights, predictions and opinions discussed during episodes of hit podcast The Rest is Entertainment.
The aim of this site is to provide a log of every episode with external links to web pages related to the TV shows, films, books and other cultural talking points mentioned by the presenters.
Podcasts vs. Videos
At time of writing, the main podcast drops each week on Tuesday, with a Questions & Answers Edition (or, Questions Edition, depending on who you’re asking) a couple of days later. The video versions turn up on YouTube a day after the audio version.
For consistency’s sake, we’ve named each page of this site after the podcast title and provided the YouTube title alongside. And on the little calendar at the top of the page we mark the date of the podcast, not the date of the video.
It’s Not Them, It’s Us
As the website’s title is at pains to emphasise, the makers of this site have no connection to the brilliant Marina Hyde and Richard Osman, nor to the production company, Goalhanger Podcasts. You can read the disclaimer for more info, but you get the idea.
Why is there nothing about [insert podcast title here]?
The Rest is Entertainment started life on 28th November 2023, but this website has only been around since August 2024, so the chances are you’ll have noticed a wealth of omissions. For the time being, we’re going to focus on keeping up with new episodes and try to add details of the older episodes whenever we have time.
About the huge fortune this website is definitely not earning
In some cases we will provide links to Amazon and possibly other affiliates who are prepared to pay a small commission if we refer you to their website and you subsequently buy something. We’re not expecting this to cover the costs of hosting the site, never mind the time taken to produce it. We’re doing this for fun, not so we can retire to a private island in the sun any time soon.
